About Buddy *On Trial in His New Home*
*BUDDY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME* Looking for a loyal and loving middle age dog who’ll stick by your side through the good times and the bad? \ Then you can’t go past Buddy the totally devoted doggie!!
Buddy was in desperate need of a clip and a bath when we first rescued him from our local pound; one dreadlock in particular made it appear as if he had 2 tails! The poor boy was so hot and uncomfortable that the first thing we did was to ask our groomer to give him a makeover which Buddy thoroughly enjoyed and he ran around like a happy puppy afterwards as if to say “thank you”!!!! At 7 years young there’s plenty of life in him yet - he is in excellent health; even his ears are great which is good news for a Cocker Spaniel. Buddy is loveable, friendly and totally thrives on human contact and appears to adore men in particular. \ All the qualities that people so often look for in the ‘perfect’ dog can be found in Buddy - he knows “sit” and is terrific on a lead, he doesn’t jump up on people and he’s great with children. Buddy even likes a game of fetch even if he doesn’t bring the ball back every time! He also travels well in a car and doesn’t mind dipping his paws in his carer’s doggie pool when it’s hot. \ Buddy’s only issue is that he’s been an only dog who was most probably left in a backyard and rarely socialised (not his fault at all!) so he’d prefer a home where he can have his humans all to himself as he gets a bit grumpy having to share - we wouldn’t call him dog aggressive as he’s ok when he meets other dogs, he just doesn’t like living with one.
As handsome Buddy doesn’t shed much hair we’d love to see him in an indoor / outdoor lifestyle where he can be a part of the household goings on. He’ll require regular brushing as well as a clip when needed so he doesn’t become a matted mess ever again. Secure fencing, daily walks, bones to chew on (he’s got terrific teeth!) and lots of love will make Buddy very happy indeed!

Buddy is desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and wormed.
Weight: 13.7kgs.
Heartworm test = negative (commenced Heartgard).
Adoption details
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed,
references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
