About Caesar (On Trial 9/3/13)
Caesar is a fun loving 10 years young Maltese. He loves it when you throw a tennis ball for him, and he brings it back every time! He is fully housetrained. He is such a happy, sweet little man, he's sure to make you laugh and smile every day.
Caesar gets along great with other little dogs. He would fit into almost any loving household. However he wouldn't be suited to a home with children under about 10 years old because he wouldn't like rough handling. But he is fine and safe with them and would be happy to welcome children visitors. He would be fine as an only dog or with other small dogs.
Caesar has a non-shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.
Caesar is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. He loves his food and is not a fussy eater.
Caesar is very affectionate and enjoys being near you all the time. He'd be a terrific little friend for a retired person or couple to spoil and take for walks. Small dogs like Caesar typically lived to around 15 so he still has lots of time left to enjoy his new life with his adoptive family.
For more information or to meet Caesar please phone foster carer Debbie on 02 4945 8756 or email smilingspider@vtel.com.au . Caesar is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (near Charlestown, just south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Caesar's $200 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
