About Duncan (On Trial 30/6/13)
Duncan is a big, friendly pup who loves belly rubs and hugs. He's a ridgeback x, 2 years old. He loves his food and should be fed separately from other dogs as he can get very jealous of his meals and bones.
He loves the company of other dogs and plays and enjoys a wrestle with them. He is a large, strong dog and has not been with small dogs, only dogs of a similar size. As Duncan has also not experienced other animals (such as horses) he would also need to be introduced slowly if he will be around them.
Duncan is a loving, intelligent dog who will respond to a loving home and training.
For more information or to meet Duncan please phone Kathy on 02 4938 8391. Duncan is in foster care in Martins Creek, NSW 2420 (near Tocal in the Hunter Valley) and is available for adoption interstate.
Duncan’s $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
