About Jessie (On Trial 8/5/13)
Jessie is an 8 to 10 year old Whippet x. She was rescued from a pound and is loving her new life. She adores company and just being around people. She sleeps inside at night and needs to be inside when you're home too. If you offer her a lap she will sit on it. Jessie adores her head being scratched and would sit next to you all day if you patted her. She is a very loyal companion.
Jessie is very gentle with children. Our 3 and 5 year olds love for Jessie to sit on their laps. She's a little dog in a medium sized dog's body. She enjoys playing with our other foster dog, chasing and playing tug of war. She's not keen on chasing balls, but loves to run and exercise those long legs. She can jump so will need high fences.
Jessie's favourite time of day is walk time and she just loves sniffing smells around the neighbourhood and running at the park. She would suit a family with or without children that has another dog to play with and a yard with high fences. She's a real sweety and sure to make you laugh and love her to bits.
For more information or to meet Jessie please phone Jan on 0408 266 639 (no email). Jessie is in foster care in southern Lake Macquarie, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Jessie's $200 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
