About Gypsy
Gypsy has a medium length chocolate and white with long tail hair. Gypsy has a beautiful personality, very intelligent, easy to train, a quick learner, playful and sits on command most of the time unless shes really excited, eg if youve just come home from work
She is in very good health. One the lead she is very good, doesnt pull, gets along well with all the dogs that she meets while out walking (they sniff and circle each other), will wait patiently for the human if the human stops for something
She has been recently vaccinated and wormed and owns a collar, lead, bowl and comb. She follows commands including: sit, stay, come, get on/off the couch. When you feed her she waits until you give her permission before she will start eating, including from a bowl and from your hand. She does not touch food that is sitting on a coffee table. When you open a car door she jumps straight in or out and travels well. She gets along well with cats and willing plays wiht one. She is moulting a fair bit so needs a good brush especially in moult, this is normal of a breed like this. She prefers to sleep inside athough she is happy to sleep outside also. She loves women and children best, she says hello to babies in prams, though she did used to be frightened of some men: she would cower in a corner and growl quietly. With encouragement from her rescuer she is now a lot better with men though this is something that people need to be aware of and be prepared to continue with. She occasionally barks at a possum on the roof. If the neighbours dogs are barking she sometimes joins in by making short barking noises. This is very normal behaviour no dog never barks at all. Gypsy will chase a ball and will occasionally return it but she prefers if you chase her around the yard. Lately she has been getting drink cans out of the recycling bin to play with as she has buried all her balls. She loves lots of attention and walks. If you leave the front gate open she might sit at the front of the driveway or go into the next door neighbours yard but she will not wander off or run away. She will eat all foods but is not very impressed with home brand tinned food. She is a very loving, devoted dog, she would do anything for the love of her owner!
