About Wally (On Trial 3/3/13)
Wally is a most gorgeous 2 year old, purebred Shih tzu, who is near perfect. He is happy, fun, loving, gentle, and very quiet; an absolute joy to have around.
At the moment he is spending his days socialising with 3 other foster dogs. He will play at the drop of a hat and makes friends in an instant; there is no jealousy or meanness, just a good old tail wag and a gleam in his big brown eyes. This is the same with children; all our young neighbours just love to come around and spend some quality play time.
He is an indoor dog, though is quite happy spending a good length of time outside. There is no problems when we leave him as he is so content. Going for a good walk is a much loved activity, Wally gets very excited when he thinks his going for a car ride as well. He is toilet trained, and is able to stay inside all night with no bother. Wally is an easy going dog.
At the moment Wally’s hair has been clipped right back to suit the weather conditions, but it will grow into a beautiful, thick, soft coat that will look and feel sensational. He has a non-shedding coat so he will need regular brushing, a bath every few weeks, and professional clipping every couple of months to keep his coat at a manageable and comfortable length.
Wally has been a joy to look after. I know he will find the perfect home as he is can give out so much love.
For more information or to meet Wally please phone Jason or Karen on 02 4947 7703 / 0432 672 356. Wally is in foster care in Floraville, NSW 2280 and is available for adoption interstate.
Wally’s $450 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
