About Bluey
Bluey (who has red hair) is a quiet, friendly dog who likes to be close to you and is a good companion to have around the house. He came into foster care thin and sad and to start with was very tense and frightened, looking for a dark quiet corner to hide in. Bluey's ribs were prominent and his hair was dry and scraggy however, as he began to experience the good life, he gradually relaxed and began to smile. Bluey is gaining weight and enjoys his food. He is also house trained, sleeps quietly on his rug in the doorway and appreciates a lap to sit on but is happy to snooze under your chair while you read or watch TV. Bluey thinks walks are a wonderful invention and happily trots around checking all the lamp posts. He likes the other foster dogs but would probably be quite happy as an only dog as he likes human company. Bluey is hoping for a home with a quiet environment as, although not scared of loud noises like fireworks or thunder, he does prefer a life without surprises. Bluey must have had a difficult life with stress or fear because he cringes at a door banging or kids yelling in the street so crawls away looking for that dark corner but reassurance, pats and kind words help him relax. Bluey just needs to have the space to work out his place in the world with out the stress of expectations. He is learning to unwind and sometimes asks for a cuddle as he is rebuilding his trust in people. As Bluey develops, with love and understanding he is sure to give back a life of enduring faithfulness to the lucky people who can give him a secure, loving and stable home.
