Luna

Luna. Approximately 4 years old. British Shorthair.
Luna is a beautiful looking, purebred, British Shorthair cat who was dumped at the pound. She is around 4 years old and adapts quickly to a new environment. When Luna came to us she was kept in quarantine to ensure that she was healthy and ready to be with our other fosters. During the 10 days she was on her own she was quite loving, coming for cuddles and sleeping on the bed with us. Luna is quite vocal and will talk to you when you rub her neck which she loves. She will however let you know if she is having ‘Me time’. Since being ‘released’ into the rest of the house with her foster siblings she has become a little cranky. She is still happy to be stroked but she is definitely in a bad mood at having to share the house. Luna is definitely a ‘1 animal in the house’ type of cat!
Luna is quite happy to laze the day away in a sunny spot, on a window sill or just on a cool tiled floor. She eats well and much prefers fish to meat. Her fur is short but thick and does require some brushing to remove falling hair. Once a week is quite adequate.
She is a little lazy but will play if you put in the effort (when she is in the mood obviously).
Luna’s floor is her toileting habits. She always uses the litter tray and all solids fall well within the boundaries. When she wees, however, she does tend to back up to the entrance and dribble some over the side. We have combatted this by having the litter tray on tiles in the bathroom and placing a wad of newspaper under the front of the tray. She never toilets anywhere else, but this is a habit you need to be aware of. The beauty of adopting an older cat from foster care is you know their traits before you get them home……kittens are a bundle of surprises and not all are always good ?
