About Scout (On Trial 27/3/13)
Introducing Scout, a 5mnth old Male, Labrador x Rottweiler. Scout - "The natural born explorer". Scout is my name and I am a happy, lovable, cheeky chap. I have grown a bit since the last time my picture was taken so I happily posed for the camera once more to have my profile updated. My breed is Labrador x Rottweiler which I think is the best of both doggy worlds. The Labrador in me loves a pat and a cuddle, whilst the Rottweiler in me gets into mischief and trouble. For Christmas I wished my brothers would get a family to call their own and I was so happy my wish came true. I just know that good things come to those who wait and that there is a family out there just for me. At 5 months of age I am an overgrown playful pup who wiggles my butt one way whilst wobbling my head the other way, a trick I mastered all on my own. Collecting things like pebbles, sticks, and toys is what I like to do through the day to amuse myself and I have secret stashes that only I can find.
Scout has been socialised with dogs of all sizes and breeds, so another dog to play with would be great. A family with big kids would be even better so that I can play with them when they get home from school. A big strong boy is what I will grow to be, so a family that is active would be perfect for me. I prefer to play outside through the day but have access to inside anytime I want which is what I am looking for in my new family. Because I am so clever I picked up basic commands really quick, all except stay which for some reason I have a bit of difficulty with but I know I will get it soon. I would really like for my new family to take me to obedience training so that I continue learning how to be an even better behaved dog - if that's at all possible!!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
