About Atari
Atari is a beautiful, young, loyal girl that wants nothing more than to just please her person… and snuggle up in your arms, snoring right next to your ear. She can be a little timid at first when encountering new and strange things – which results in some growling but it is only in fear and not menace (this has been drastically reduced since being in foster care) – but with a confident, reassuring word from her person (protector) she very quickly regains her composure and gets back to loving life.
Atari has become an extremely dog social girl with small and large dogs alike since arriving from the pound, although she would be more suited to having medium to large playmates due to her Staffy play style, but care must be taken to ensure each introduction is a positive one.
Atari lives to please. She will do anything you ask of her for the reward of a game of tug or a treat, even jumping through waist high hula hoops at the request of a 5 year old child and gently playing tug. She walks extremely well on lead, preferring to walk by your leg, even when walking with a pack of excited dogs.
She has no food issues but as always, would need supervision to ensure she does not initially try to take food off existing dogs. Once told, she listens and won’t try again. She is crate trained, loves trips in the car, child friendly and LOVES to lie/play in water. Atari is extremely people focused and can easily become an only dog, providing her family is around most of the day and she is involved in family life. She will become vocal if left completely on her own.
Atari is an ideal dog for older kids that want a buddy to train, play games with and cuddle with at night.
