About Gnarla (On Trial 5/3/13)
Gnarla is an active, 5 month old Kelpie x however she looks and acts like a pure Kelpie. She loves a good chase and wrestle with her sister Shadow in the yard and much pleasure can be gained from watching her in 'Kelpie Mode' as she stalks and ambushes Shadow before running like a mad dog and encouraging the chase.
Gnarla loves to chase the hose and shows great turns of speed during this game. She also craves a good walk to satisfy her working dog energy and is good on a lead although some pulling issues need further training. We always recommend training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training, and not to be left outside in a yard all alone.
Gnarla also loves people, and after exuding her energy will gladly accept all the attention you can give her. She often falls asleep whilst lying next to whichever family member is outside with her at the time. She is even more comfortable when the whole family is outside with her and loves the attention that only a child can give a dog.
Gnarla is currently living with her sister Shadow (also available for adoption) and our blue cattle dog with no problems encountered. Gnarla would suit a home that can offer her further training, some family time inside each day, regular exercise and a decent sized yard.
For more information or to meet Gnarla please phone foster carer Melanie on 0431 184 213 or email quickmons@exemail.com.au . Gnarla is in foster care in, Newcastle NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Gnarla's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
