About Sarge (On Trial 22/4/13)
Sarge is a 1yr old male Fox Terrier x Whippet, small to medium size. He is a beautiful well behaved boy, he likes to be inside with people but also likes outside. He gets on great with other dogs and cats and loves to play. He is great with children and he loves snuggles and affection.
He is fully house trained, walks very well on a lead and is an excitable, energetic young man. Sarge is learning basic commands and this along with training will need to be ongoing as he is still very young. Sarge would be great for a young family or anyone who could give him plenty of love and exercise. A daily walk is a must!
In foster care Sarge has made himself quite at home by sleeping on his foster carers bed and he loves to play with their young children and be included in the daily activities in and around the house. He is very obedient and a pleasure to have around.
Sarge has exceptionally long legs so we think he is part whippet. As soon as you see him you cannot help but fall in love with him. He is great in the car and does not react to thunderstorms and overall Sarge is a pleasure to have around and very close to a perfect dog.
He adores children and really love to go to a family with children though not little ones under around 9 because he could accidently knock over the littlies.
For more information or to meet Sarge please phone foster carer Laura 0408 320 893. Sarge is in foster care in Raymond Terrace, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Sarge's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
