About Bonnie
Meet the gorgeous Bonnie, how stunning is she?
Bonnie unfortunately hasn't had the best start to life. She is only young and found herself pregnant and close to euthanasia in a pound prior to arriving at Second Chance. Not only that, it appears that the humans Bonnie met before coming to Second Chance were not too kind to her.
Understandably this girl is pretty shy when you first meet her. Don't be fooled though, give this stunning girl some time and she will come out of her shell in no time.
She rolls around and around on her back for belly rubs once she trusts that you aren't going to hurt her.
Bonnie would do best in a home with older kids or without kids, not because she is aggressive in any sense of the word, but because she needs people who understand that while Bonnie is learning to trust humans again, fast movements towards her are very frightening and we want Bonnie to find a home where she can be as stress free as possible. She would do well with older kids that understand this and are happy to slow down and learn to understand Bonnie.
Once Bonnie trusts you, that's that. She is such a friendly girl once she comes out of her shell. She is a very relaxed girl. She gets along with all the animals in the household, though she does need a home with a cat that is nice to her or doesn't show any interest in her as Bonnie enjoys the company of other cats so long as they do not hurt her.
She does occasionally roll around playing with a toy every now and again, though her mission in life seems to be to just relax and enjoy life as much as she can.
Bonnie is fully litter box trained and hasn't had a single accident. She is good about using her scratching posts as well.
Bonnie would suit a couple looking to welcome a feline friend, a single person wanting a life long companion, or because she is so gentle, a family with older kids.
Even though it appears humans have wronged her, she is trusting again and hasn't set a foot wrong. Bonnie honestly wouldn't hurt a fly.
As the current foster carer of Bonnie, she has been in care with us for a week and has truly come around and is doing really well. She sleeps on our bed and we really believe she will be a wonderful lap cat once she knows she is in her forever home. She is happy to sit on our laps and get cuddles while we watch tv already, so imagine how much more cuddly she will be once she knows she is home!
You have to meet Bonnie in person to truly understand her beauty, she is absolutely stunning. She is a petite girl, though she is an awesome eater. This girl has a great appetite, and while she is eating is a great time to bond with her, she loves getting rubs while she eats and is happy to rub against your legs while you stand there, or kneel next to her.
Bonnie deserves a chance at a wonderful life and deserves to be shown that not everyone is going to treat her poorly. We want Bonnie to know her past is just that, and that chapter is closed. We can't wait to see what the future has in store for this gorgeous girl, she is an awesome cat that truly will be a blessing to whoever decides to give this stunning girl her second chance.
