About Coco (On Trial 26/2/13)
Coco is a 10 month old, female, Labrador/Kelpie/Staffy cross. She is very affectionate and loves spending time with both humans and other dogs. Coco loves toys and any type of game. She is friendly, playful pup that is just full of energy! Coco is well mannered but does have a tendency to jump up when excited but she can be trained not to do that. She is looking for a new home with a loving family who can provide her with lots of love, attention, playtime and exercise. I have kids that are 8 & 11yrs old that Coco is very gentle with so a home with kids would be great to.
Definitely not a biter ~ more of a licker! When in trouble she is very submissive and I believe she will respond extremely well to training (she is still only a puppy). She interacts well with my Labrador and is ‘put in her place’. My dog is generally not dominant so that is encouraging.
Coco walks well on a lead, but does pull if she’s excited. Coco lives outside in a kennel. We allow her inside on occasion and we haven’t had any ‘accidents’. She displays basic training i.e. sit, no, stay, come. She doesn’t dig or chew so long as she gets walked, has toys, a bone or has company. Coco enjoys human interaction and aims only to please.
When meeting new people she can be timid at first, but warms up quite quickly. If you have a pat/cuddle for her, she will be your friend for life! I treated Coco for a ‘hot spot’ when she first arrived. She was very trusting and allowed me to apply methylated spirits and betadine to the area without showing any aggression.
Coco is a gorgeous girl that just needs a little training. She is such a beautiful soul and her eyes will melt your heart from the moment you set eyes on her. I believe she would be best suited to a family that has another dog to keep her company or children who are active and love to play.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
