Whiskey *On Trial in His New Home*

*WHISKEY IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME* Who’s a clever boy???? Whiskey’s a clever boy cos he knows how to sit, drop, rollover, shake, Hi 5, beg, dance, spin and he’s eager to learn more in a new forever home; will it be with you?

Purchased from a pet shop as a puppy Whiskey was surrendered to us for rehousing through no fault of his own; he just sadly didn’t fit into his previous owners’ new lifestyle, but now he’s loving life in foster care where he’s enjoying being an inside/outside doggie as his old master wouldn’t allow him inside their new house.

Adorable Whiskey’s a friendly, energetic young dog who is very affectionate and loves being with you. He is actually housetrained and has figured out how to use his carer’s doggie door system and he’s so respectful of their own 18 year old Poodle x Maltese, it’s lovely to watch them interact. \ Whiskey is terrific with cats; he grew up with a male Siamese and they played and slept curled up together in the shed at night. He thinks children are fun though not too young as he can be quite bouncy and he’s right at toddler face-licking height and he can be quite licky especially when he’s excited. This wriggly bundle of joy gets his personality and looks from his Toy Poodle ancestry, plus he has their tight curly hair, though his colouring definitely comes from the Shih Tzu. Whiskey’s a busy little boy who isn’t at all yappy and he loves a dip in his doggie pool when he gets too warm or he’ll have a play under the sprinklers if they happen to be on.

Being a Toy Poodle x Shih Tzu Whiskey doesn’t shed any hair and he enjoys a bath (water!) and loves a blow dry. He will require regular brushing and a clip when needed to keep him looking his best – his previous owner used to clip him herself. \ Whiskey travels well in a car and weighing in at less that 5kgs he’s a nice compact “take-anywhere” size and he enjoys getting out and about. This gorgeous little dog would be best suited to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle with either a friendly doggie companion or on his own so long as he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he settles into his forever home. Plus a secure yard, daily walks or runs around the backyard, chicken necks to chew on (his fave!) and toys to play with would make Whiskey very happy indeed!
