About Patches (On Trial 9/2/13)
Patch is a beautiful, female, 6month old Bull Arab x. There isn’t anything not to love about Patch (I say this with full sincerity). She is very gentle and affectionate. She gets along very well with other dogs of all sizes and is good with children.
Patch really loves to play and have a good run around and play with other dogs. She also loves swimming so she'd be great to take to the beach or lake. She really enjoys outings. She is well behaved off the lead and walks well on the lead. She knows simple commands and continues to learn very quickly. Ongoing reward based training would ensure she maintains this. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training, and not to be left outside in a yard all alone.
Because she is still a puppy she does like to chew of course but she is easily redirected to toys, so we make sure she always has some things that she is allowed to chew. Patch is fully house trained and sleeps well in her own bed at night (inside of course). She gets very happy about walks, food and when you first get home after being out. She likes to laze around when inside.
Patch is a very social and affectionate dog. It would be unkind to isolate her in the backyard all the time so she needs some time inside when people are home to bond with her family. She will suit a loving home environment with or without other dogs, so long as she has exercise, playtime and cuddle time. She is an absolutely gorgeous dog; very gentle and sweet and would fit in very easily to a loving home. She would make a great companion for anyone.
For more information or to meet Patch please phone foster carer Kellie on 0423 761 995 or email kellihh@hotmail.com . Patch is in foster care in Wallsend, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Patch's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
