About Missy (On Trial 23/2/13)
Missy is a 6 year old Maltese cross. She's quite a character. She likes getting her photo taken and will pose sweetly for the camera. She just loves getting pats and attention, especially tummy rubs. She enjoys playing with toys, especially those squeaky toys that makes noise. She thinks she is so clever making it squeak. It makes me laugh to watch her.
Missy is very easy to bathe, she just stands there and seems to enjoy the massage she gets while getting clean. She has a non-shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.
Missy is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. She loves her food and is not a fussy eater.
Missy would be best suited to a home where she is the only dog so she could get all the attention, or maybe just one other small, placid dog.
She is such a delight and real little character. She'll make you laugh every day and bring lots of love and smiles to your home.
For more information or to meet Missy please phone foster carer Debbie on 02 4945 8756 or email smilingspider@vtel.com.au . Missy is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (near Charlestown, just south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Missy's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
