About Denzel (On Trial 9/2/13)
Looking for a lap warmer? Denzel would like to apply for the job! He is a 2yr old Maltese X Shih tzu. He is a handsome young man with a very handsome personality. He loves people, and would spend his day following you around, or sitting on your lap. So in saying that, he would only be suited to someone who is home most of the time.
He is learning to use the doggy door, and has a 99% success rate which he acquired very quickly! He knows how to sit when told and is not a barker. Whilst he enjoys walking on lead he will need a bit more work to train him to walk on lead properly. He loves going for travels in the car and is well behaved!
If you let him, he will sleep in your bed with you and cuddle up close however as long as he is very close by he will be happy to sleep in a doggy bed by your side!
Even though Denzel is a very human friendly dog he doesn’t get along well with other dogs, he wants your attention all to himself so he will not be able to be adopted out with other dogs and as yet, has not been tested with cats. But as he is a quick learner, he is learning to play with and enjoy the simplest of toys and has recently had a fabulous makeover and is now a handsome new man! He will make a fantastic companion dog!
For more information or to meet Denzel, please phone Sharyn on 0414 247 633. They are in New Lambton, NSW (Newcastle), NSW. Denzel is available for adoption interstate.
Denzel’s adoption fee is $400 which covers his desexing, vaccinations, flea & work treatments, microchipping and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
