About Buddy (2)
Buddy is a 2 year old Mastiff X (perhaps with cattle dog?). He is still very much the active young dog you would expect, and loves to muck around with other dogs. Buddy is extremely friendly with adults, has yet to be around kids but I'm sure would be just the same as he is towards adults. He loves animals and loves nothing more than trying to get your attention. Buddy understands how to sit and is learning how to lay and stay.
Buddy loves a walk and doesn't pull on the lead too much. He is being taught how to heal, but is still a strong young dog.
Buddy loves his food, and likes to take a nap after a playing. He is always looking to please you, so does well with training. He loves company but is happy to just sit, sleep or play outside by himself. He will need a well fenced yard as he is medium to large sized dog.
Buddy is unsure about toys, he watches other dogs play with them and is starting to figure out they are for fun. Buddy has hardly made a sound unless he sees something he doesn't recognise come near the front fences. Buddy is a handsome, no-fuss, affectionate, young boy who will be a pleasure to have in any loving home.
For more information or to meet Buddy contact foster carer Kim on 0421 961 946 or email kimberleyw@hotmail.com . Buddy is located in Belmont North, NSW (near Charlestown, south of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Buddy's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
