About Mia (On Trial 10/2/13)
Mia, 5 month old, female, Kelpie puppy. She loves to run. Typical kelpie, she is very active. She would be suited to someone that has a property, or who has an active lifestyle, and someone that has other dogs.
Mia is in foster care with 3 large dogs and gets on fine with them. She is not a barker and doesn't seem worried by the birds. She is very timid at first but after she sees other dogs she quickly comes out of her shell. She is still a little unsure of people and is still learning her name.
She seems to be housetrained as she has had no accidents inside. Mia needs further training as she is still learning the basic commands. We always recommend puppy/dog training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training, and not to be left outside in a yard all alone for long hours.
Mia will be ready to go to her forever home in the first week of February. If you are looking for sweet, happy, and fun loving best friend, Mia is your girl.
For more information or to meet Mia please phone foster carer Mat on 0421 669 884 or email matnchlo@bigpond.com . Mia is in foster care in Cameron Park, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Mia's $450 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
