About Scruffy (On Trial 15/2/13)
Meet Scruffy a small 2 year old Terrier mix a beautifully natured little guy who would love nothing more than to have cuddles and kisses with human he loves. With a big grin on his little face Scruffy is forever dropping toys at your feet and on for a game, if he had his way he would play fetch all day long.
Scruffy can be slightly timid soon warms to people. He is not a barker or a jumpy dog and will quite happyily curl up in your lap and soak up all the attention. He loves to be picked up and carried around by either myself or the kids. After that it’s time to curl up on the lounge and watch a movie or get a belly scratch. Scruffy is going very well with his toilet training and usually is able to let us know that he wants to go outside, night time is when there may be a few accidents. However we are working on that together.
Scruffy would ideally suit a home where there is someone home to keep him company or another little dog to play with. He is a cheeky little boy when he gets playful but just has the most loving temperament and will surely make a loving companion .
For more information or to meet Scruffy please phone foster carer Renee on 0459 699 318or email gti_gurl2@rocketmail.com. Scruffy is in foster care in Cessnock, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Scruffy's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
