Minnie (adopted in Aug 2013)

Minnie is a 12 month old kelpie x. She is very well behaved and happy to stay outside and entertain herself and hang out with the other dogs. She is very friendly with other dogs and with people and is happy to play with our other dogs. She rarely barks, except to join in when the other dogs do when someone turns up.

Minnie is an easy girl to please. She sleeps outside with no problem and loves her having her own bed. She doesn't defend her food at all either. Minnie is quite timid and cautious around people, however after being here a few weeks she is slowly starting to trust us more and more and she follows us around the yard quite happily. She hasn't tried to jump our fence or shown any signs of trying to escape. Being a Kelpie cross she would love a big yard or someone who could exercise her daily. Although I haven't seen her around kids I doubt she would be anything but gentle and playful once settled in and would make a great addition to any family. Minnie would be happy with another dog. When we got her she came with another young dog we named DumDum and they are best mates. Minnie is so young and full of potential, I think she would do really well with some further training, and be a great delight to the lucky family who gave her a home.
