About Millie (On Trial 25/1/13)
Millie is an 8 month old Kelpie and is one of the sweetest most affectionate dogs I have ever met. Look into those big beautiful brown eyes - you’ll fall in love the moment you meet her.
Millie makes friends with everyone she meets- human and K9. She has even met my brother’s cat and was only mildly interested. Her favourite thing in the world is to snuggle on your lap and get tummy scratches. Be careful though because she will try to steal a kiss!
I currently have three other dogs, ranging from 2 to 16 years and she is equally as friendly and playful (whilst retaining respect for the senior) with them all.
We don’t know much of Millie’s history but it never fails to amaze me that such sweet babies end up in the pound. This little girl is not only gorgeous; she is clever and obedient as well. Millie can sit and drop, is learning to walk well on her lead, and takes herself outside to the toilet. As with most babies, she will benefit from further training. After all, anyone can forget their manners when everything gets just too exciting.
Millie has met my niece and nephew (5 years and 1 year old) and behaved herself perfectly. She was playful and gentle at the same time. Being such a young and active girl, running and playing are a must. She would love a family with children and/or other dogs to play with. Having said that, I think Millie would thrive in any home where she was embraced as a family member and given the love and attention she deserves.
These photos really do not do this princess justice. Play, cuddle, sleep, dinner- all words she has mastered. “Still” is not in her vocabulary. If you’re looking for a sweet and loving pup to share your life with, definitely consider giving this beautiful baby a chance. You will be rewarded with unconditional and abundant love. Millie is just waiting to make a special family very lucky.
For more information or to meet Millie please phone foster carer Kylie on 0422 084 042 or email oscartilly@hotmail.com. Millie is in foster care in Wallsend, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
