About Lulu (On Trial 24/1/2013)
LuLu is a cute, little Maltese, approximately 2 years old. She is lovely with children and other dogs. She enjoys playing with her toys and playing fetch.
Lulu had a hard start in life being very much neglected. She didn’t know how to play and was very scared of everything even her own shadow. She is such a gentle little dog and so loving. She loves playing with other dogs and people. She really enjoys going for a walk and is very smart. She has picked up toilet training very fast.
Lulu has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.
Lulu is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside. She doesn't like being left home alone unless there is another friendly dog to keep her company.
Lulu needs a family who can give her the time to heal and become a confident little girl. She is a very affectionate dog and would make any person or family very happy as long as they can give her the time and love she deserves. She also loves the company of other dogs so if you are looking for a second little dog to complete your family she would be perfect.
For more information or to meet Lulu please phone foster carer Jenelle on 0417 656 340 or 4953 1073. Lulu is in foster care in Seahampton, NSW (near West Wallsend, Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Lulu's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
