About Pistachio *On Trial in Her New Home*
*PISTACHIO IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HER NEW HOME* Looking for a sweet-natured pup who enjoys a bounce on the trampoline with the kids or even on her own? \ Well look no further cos Pistachio is the girl for you!!
Saved from euthanasia by our caring vets Pistachio is now safe with SARG and has settled in well into foster care where she’s having a ball with her carers’ 3 legged Staffy x pup and their Maltese/ShihTzu. Pistachio is a relaxed, well-behaved pup who is proving to be a terrific all-rounder. She loves pats and cuddles and playtime with her carers’ 3 young children and she’s terrific with the household cat who thinks she’s a dog anyway! Pistachio’s even good around their ducks, chooks and rabbits, she’s such a gentle girl. While in care Pistachio has been brushing up on “sit” and she also knows the “down” command even though she doesn’t jump up on you very often, and when she does she’s still gentle. She’s terrific on a lead (loves going for walks!) and she isn’t at all yappy or “in your face” though she will give a warning bark when required making her a good little watchdog. \
There is some debate over the breeds that make up this adorable girl; she’s the size of a Whippet though she doesn’t have a whippy tail in fact Pistachio has a rather short tail (please see photos) which is where we think the Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog comes in and she also has their lovely soft coat. Whatever breeds she is they all work beautifully together to make Pistachio a very well-balanced young dog!

Gorgeous Pistachio would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on her own but only if she won’t be left alone for long periods of time as she’s used to having company. Daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with will make Pistachio very happy indeed!
If lovely Miss Pistachio sounds like the kind of dog you’ve always wanted to share your home with then please download and complete a SARG Dog Application form by following this link or by copying and pasting it into your browser: http://www.sarg.net.au/adoptapet.html

Adoption details
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed,
references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
