On Hold
About Dotty (On Hold pending adoption 25/1/13)
Dotty is a 3 year old Staffy x Australian Cattle Dog with stunning markings. She would make a wonderful companion for someone seeking a loyal, no-fuss and intelligent dog. She is very sweet and placid girl who is eager to please. She loves human company the most and she frequently puts her head on my lap for pats.
Dotty does not bark very often. She is housetrained and can hold on overnight. She knows her name, Sit and Come. She loves going for walks and she likes to just lie down and watch me garden. Dotty would need company in the form of another dog or to be allowed inside the house to be close to people. She would be unhappy left home alone without another dog or a person.
Dotty is untested with cats but chases all the birds out of the garden. She currently sleeps outdoors on a bed, but can also use a crate. She is not suited to very young children as she jumps up when she is excited to see you. She is untested with older children but loves the attention of adult humans, even strangers. Dotty adores the company of other dogs, she loves to play and is patient with more exuberant dogs. I am not sure why Dotty ended up in rescue, as she is an absolutely beautiful girl that would love to meet her new family.
For more information or to meet Dotty please phone foster carer Tara on 0466659752. Dotty is in foster care in East Maitland, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Dotty's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
