About Missy (2) (On Trial 21/1/13)
Missy is an 18 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel X Staffy. She is great with children, and good with other dogs. She is quiet, not a barker. Missy is happy to spend time outside when no one is home but she likes to be inside with the family when people are home.
She is an unusual but adorable breed mix. She has the short hair of a Staffy but the floppy ears, soft face and smaller size of a Cavalier.
Missy enjoys chewing on sticks, plastic bottles and toys if you leave them in the yard for her. She likes children. She will initially jump up for a pat but quickly settles down and will just lay next to them. With a little training she could easily be taught not to jump. She currently lives with large dogs and loves them. I am not sure about cats and other pets as she has never been near them. Missy is fairly well housetrained. \ She sleeps in the laundry in her bed and has no accidents. She goes out of her own accord as soon as you open the door. She is not a fussy eater, she eats dry food pasta rice chicken.
Missy is very playful with the other dogs, running around with them and having a great time. She is not an excessive barker. If she is outside she will bark if a stranger comes in her yard. If she is inside she doesn't bark at all. She has no problem being left alone.
Missy is very affectionate just wants cuddles and to please you. She would suit either a family with children, a couple, or even a single person. So long as they give her the love and company she deserves. She is a loving, gentle little girl.
For more information or to meet Missy please phone foster carer Eileen on 0400 513 643 or 02 4996 4099. Missy is in foster care in Beresfield, NSW 2322 (near East Maitland, 15 minutes from Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Missy's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
