About Rex (2) (On Trial 18/1/2013)
Rex is 3 years old (Approximately) Jack Russell dog. He is an adorable little man and loves to follow his foster carer around everywhere just as much as he loves to follow other dogs. He can be a little shy when he first meets new people but quickly comes out of his shell and becomes a loving, snugly little boy.
He is good around other dogs and loves to follow them around the yard sniffing out all the smells and chasing toys. Rex knows his name and is getting very good at learning to sit and stay and just loves being rewarded with yummy treats for his efforts. He is house trained and will use the doggy door if installed.
Rex’s owner passed away and had been tried to be rehomed with family and friends who were unable to give him the love he needed. Rex is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when the family are home and to sleep inside.
Rex has been around some children (5 years upwards) however has not been around cats as yet. He has discovered that he loves to chase water from the hose and he loves to chew on soft toys.
The ideal home for Rex is somewhere that he can be allowed to be inside when the family are home as he loves to be part of the action however will happily just curl up with you. Ideally he would have another playmate to keep him company.
For more information or to meet Rex please phone foster carer Lauren on Mobile phone: 0419499117 or email lauren_je@yahoo.com.au. Rex is in foster care in Fletcher, NSW and available for adoption interstate.
Rex's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au \
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
