About Fifi McScruff (adopted)
Fifi is a character to really warm your heart. At only just 12 months old Fifi is ready to find her family. We believe she is a Maltese cross Jack Russell, with either Silky or Chihuahua mixed in. She is a well behaved puppy who settles into new situations quickly and just goes with the flow.
She has a short undercoat with a thin outer coat that is very soft so she is not an outside dog. She must be allow in at night to sleep. She would suit an active family with teenagers or a couple who will play with her throwing toys and allowing her to be your shadow. I will often find her under my chair, beside my feet, or on my lap craving affection. (teenagers dream dog)
She is an active pup so she will require environmental, physical and mental stimulation to keep her calm when you are not home. Although not destructive she is a busy little thing and likes to work and play at this age: walking, throwing toys, tug-o-war, kongs, obedience training e.g. sit, down, stay. Toilet training needs some work with consistency, so she needs to be taken outside every few hours until perfected.
Fifi is an incredibly social girl. She is approximately 5 kilos of muscle and I would like her family to be able to take her to outings, meet other people and other dogs on a regular basis as she will enjoy it. She is fine to be an only dog and she would much rather have your company and affection then those of the four legged variety.
Fifi is well behaved inside. She allows you to handle her, touch her, do a teeth check, clip her nails and bathe her with no fuss or care. She doesn’t mind the odd car ride either.
Fifi is a pup that would benefit from limits, rules and boundaries in a new home as she is young and hasn’t had the greatest start in that department, She has become a little fussy with food (easily fixed) and will jump up for affection - nothing that would bother a willing family with time.
This puppy is so adorable, easily trained, and very willing, that she would be a great asset for a family or couple to mould to the perfect family pet. She is a low shedding and low maintenance dog and would love to settle in somewhere soon.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
