About Trixie
TRIXIE ...... Little beauty, Intelligent, happy young girl a real cuddler!
Seeking her forever home
Trixie is a Border Collie x Kelpie, approx 2 years old, she is a medium sized girl not very tall in height, about 18kg. This little beauty is kind in nature with both people, children and her fellow resident dogs of all sizes here at the rescue shelter. She's a really affectionate, intelligent girl, responsive to commands once when gets to know you. Full of life but not in an OTT way, as with most young dogs her age she loves some playtime. Trixie loves to wrap her front legs around your waist very gently and come in close for a big cuddle. Trixie is currently in foster care with two other dogs and three cats, she has been great with the kids she loves them. One of her Foster carers cats Chilli has taken a liking to Trixie and they are great mates the two can usually be found hanging out together.
As with some of the other Pets in Limbo dogs Trixie was in the local council shelter and would have been PTS. So she came to the safety of the Rescue Shelter where they will help her find a family of her own.

If the adoption application is approved a home check & meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting will be arranged. If you have other dogs in the family we like them to come along and also meet with the dog.
If all goes ahead and you adopt the dog there is a 4 week trial period to make sure they settle in their new home ok. If it works out well the adoption papers are then finalised and all dogs from our adoption program must be registered with your local council and the microchip details changed into your name and contact details.
