About Shelby (On Trial 3/02/13)
Hi, my name is Shelby. I’m a 12 week old Bull Arab x puppy. I love toys, bones and to run and play in the back yard with my friends. It’s so much fun…
I know how to go to the toilet all by myself. I use the dog door and walk down the steps to the grass. I even know how to use my foster brothers inside dog toilet!!!
I know “sit”, “wait”, “out”, “bed” and am learning “stay”. I have also learnt to mouth instead of bite and always get lots of praise when I give kisses. I don’t jump up at all but instead will sit or lay down near you.
My foster Mum says I can be a little stubborn at times so I will need someone to continue with my training to help me grow up to be a polite, well-behaved girl. I will also need LOTS of toys and bones (fresh and rawhide) to keep me occupied and help with my teeth… and because I love them.
I spend most of my time inside with the rest of my pack and will go outside to the toilet or to play every so often. I sleep inside at night snuggled up on the bed with my foster family; I sleep all night and don’t do anything I shouldn’t.
I will need to have a playful medium-large breed doggie sibling for company as I don’t like to be left alone, and I must be an inside/outside dog. I like to be with my humans as much as possible.
My favourite things are playing, eating and sleeping… in that order. Did I mention I love toys and bones?? Oh and pigs ears. I'm also known to be a bit of a goof ball when I'm in a really playful mood.
I am yet to meet kids, cats, chooks and other pets. Because I am young I learn very quickly so with boundaries and training there should be no issues.
I will grow to be a big girl so I MUST find someone that will commit to me for the rest of my life.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
