About Kirsten
Kirsten was dumped along with 3 other rats in Mildura. They were frightened and alone, so raced up to the first person who came along, -someone jogging along a footpath. Getting her attention, she crouched down to have a look, and before she knew it all 4 rats had raced up her arm and perched themselves on her shoulder. There they stayed until she got home and contacted the pound.
Kirsten is a sweet girl that has made a very long journey due to some wonderful people. A lovely person called Mandy contacted our shelter, and organised a truck driver who took them all the way to Sydney with him. Our fantastic volunteer, Karen, went out to meet him at 3am upon arrival, to bring the rats the final part of the way. It's been a big day for Kirsten, but she's continued to be friendly and patient the entire time. She will need a home that will never abandon her again, and give her all the love she deserves.
Kirsten will be available for adoption from the 2nd January, as we will keep her for her gestation period to make sure she's carrying no surprises. We will take expressions of interest in this time, and can put her on hold for the right family.
