About Bluebell (On Trial 23/12/12)
Bluebell is a 1 to 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog (blue heeler). She is not like any other cattle dog I have had before. She is quiet and content, loves my other dogs, and is great with my daughter. A very sweet girl, not a rough and tough working dog. Definitely not a dog for the back of the ute, but a perfect gentle family dog.
Bluebell has some basic training such as sit, lay down, and occasionally stay. She is great to walk on lead and is happy to stay close when off lead at lead free places. She is not yet fully housetrained but it won't take her long to get the hang of it as she is a smart little girl. She is timid with men at first but then seems to warm to them.
Bluebell has become my shadow. She is an absolute pleasure to foster. I look forward to seeing her go to a loving, forever home where she will be treated gently and invited to be a member of the family.
For more information or to meet Bluebell please phone foster carer Rachel on 0423 826 994 or 4954 4710. Bluebell is in foster care in Cardiff, NSW (north Lake Macquarie) and is available for adoption interstate.
Bluebell's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Bluebell.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
