About Lexie (2) (On Trial 5/12/12)
Available for adoption: Lexie is a 12 month old Tenterfield Terrier x. She is very cuddly, sweet, girl who loves playing with her toys. She didn't have the best start in life, but she is now a happy girl because of all the love and attention she's received in foster care.
Lexie is still a little jealous when other dogs get attention, but she is learning that she doesn’t need to be. She is not keen on being left alone. She barks when someone comes to the door to let you know that you have company. She is learning about being on a lead. She's not a fan of cats.
Lexie will eat just about anything, but she is allergic to Pedigree dog biscuits. She is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when the family are home and to sleep inside. She love to be covered with a little blanket at night. Precious.
For more information or to meet Lexie please phone foster carers Christie or Paul on 0404 380 999 or 0406 017 471or email happysmurf2008@hotmail.com . Lexie is in foster care in Jesmond, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Lexie's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Lexie.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
