About Charlie Girl (On Trial 10/1/13)
Charlie is a beautiful FEMALE Kelpie x Staffy, approximately 1 year old. She is the most stunning, confident, happy and obedient girl anyone could ask for. Charlie is a perfect best friend for someone who is looking for a true companion, not just a dog to leave in a yard.
Charlie is an inside and outside dog. She loves to be inside when we are home but is happy to be outside when we're out and sleeps outside in her kennel (which she loves) at night. Charlie is great with domestic animals and hasn't been tested with stock. She is currently living with a 19 year old cat and two small dogs. She has also been great with larger dogs that we have met. Charlie would be happy to have other dog/s in her forever home.
In the time I have fostered Charlie, I have seen the most dramatic change in her, more than any dog I have ever fostered. When Charlie first came into my care, she was a nervous, confused, submissive girl and my heart poured out to her, for why she may have been this way. But now she has left her past behind and is a totally new dog, ready to begin a wonderful rest of her life.
Charlie will be easy to train as she is not only treat motivated but she has a need to please her owner. I have never had a dog so excited to see me when I arrive home, even if I only popped to the garbage bin outside, she always greets us with her wiggling backside. I have been doing basic obedience training and she is currently learning how to walk nicely on the lead which she has picked it up very quickly. She doesn't jump fences or try to escape at all, she's happy just to know she has a safe place to live. Charlie greatly enjoys going on adventures with us to the park, bush and especially to the beach. Afterwards, she is content to lay at our feet while we enjoy dinner or a drink at an outdoor cafe. Charlie has left a wonderful impression on people she meets on her daily walks and my friends and family.
If you are looking for more than a pet: a loyal, loving best friend who will give your love back to you tenfold, then look no further than Charlie, she is the very definition of those words.
Charlie is ready to be met and adopted. For more information or to meet Charlie please phone foster carer Jenna on 0432 372 860. Charlie is in foster care in Tumbi Umbi NSW 2265, (Central Coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
Charlie's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Charlie.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
