Roo (D2290)

Small-Medium Mixed Breed.

Roo is a fantastic, devoted little dog and just a pleasure say her carers. They call her Ruby because she’s a gem. She goes just about everywhere with them including bank fishing. The first time she followed them across the river at low tide, she looked like she hadn’t swum before and was a bit scared. Now, she just jumps in and follows them, then after a bit of a sniff around, lies down nearby all day. In built up areas, they keep her on lead and she walks along nicely, even continuing to heel well when there was aggression between two dogs nearby. She sits, stays, shakes hands and comes to her name. She doesn’t get up on furniture, jumps up gently for a cuddle only when invited and sleeps on her rug beside the bed all night.

Roo was very nervous at the beginning, but by four days trusted her carers, was affectionate and followed them everywhere. She is a happy girl who enjoys playing chasey with her carer, playing with her toys and retrieving a ball. She came into care because she loves her humans but doesn’t like sharing them with other animals at home. She has a little experience with young children, and sometimes find them a bit scary when they move around quickly, She would be ideal as an only pet for a retired couple who can share lots of time with her so she feels happy.
