About Jax (On Trial 7/1/13)
Jax is an adorable 9 week old shepherd cross. He is currently in foster care with his brother Opie (also available for adoption). These two are the perfect pair and I’d love to see them go to the same forever home if possible as they are very close.
Jax is a very a sweet, happy and playful boy. He is full of energy and loves exploring the backyard with his brother Opie and his foster sister Mia. When he’s finished exploring he loves to come inside and enjoy a good long belly scratch.
He loves cuddles and is a very affectionate pup who's tail is always wagging. He has a cute habit of curling up next to your feet while you’re cooking dinner.
He is a very fast learner, he comes when called and has taken to house training well, though further house training and puppy preschool will be required as he’s still so young. He is quite intelligent so he will need lots of stimulation to keep him entertained.
Jax has had his first vaccination and will need to be retuned to one of our approved vets for his second vaccination due on approximately 7/12/12.
I would advise an active family or a family who already own other similar dog(s) would be best. Once he’s fully vaccinated he will need daily walks (short to start and longer as he grows) and trips to the dog park or dog beach if possible.
We have started socialising with other dogs of friends and family that we know to be up to date with all vaccinations and in good health. He loves making new friends! Continued socialisation will be very important for him as this is something he really enjoys.
Jax has a big smile and beautiful colouring and should grow to be a very handsome boy. We think he should be a medium size dog when fully grown - but his paws are getting bigger every day.
He has been a great source of joy for our family and we will miss him dearly. He is the perfect addition to anyone looking for a loyal best friend.
Jax is in foster care in Mayfield, NSW. For more information or to meet Jax, please phone his foster carer Kirra on 0408620764.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
