Hello my name is Phoebe!
I am the biggest of my siblings, and sometimes get a bit bossy. I love my brothers and sisters, but sometimes get carried away telling them what they can and cannot do. I also love people, they have been so very nice to my mum Mia and my brothers and sisters. We have been lucky as our foster mum Lisa is a dog trainer and has 4 chihuahua and a big dog Sally who looks just like me! We play together really nicely and i'm learning how to play properly. I love playing with my siblings and we run and chase each other everywhere! I love to cuddle up to my foster mum, and after a little play session I will crawl up onto her lap as it's warm and soft. I love having a bath and our foster mum has shown us that it is ok for us to have our nails clipped. We just lay back and enjoy it. At night we all snuggle up in our crate, and are learning to be by ourselves at night. I have a good appetite, and are learning to sit nicely for a treat.
My siblings and mum were in a dark, damp, cold place where we were hungry and scared. A man came in who we had never seen before and talked about taking us away. Our mother cried as she told us we would go to a place called a “shop” where a family would pick us to go home with them. But the man didn’t just take us, to her surprise he loaded our mum into the box as well and we saw lots of our cousins get loaded into boxes too. We all went to a place called AWL where we were cleaned and feed and kept warm. We then went off to a lovely lady who is teaching us and our mummy how to be good dogs, and that the world is not such a scary place.
There are 3 girls and 2 little boys in our little family and of course our Mum Mia, and we are all very different and special in our own way. We would be happy to live with another small dog, or even a larger dog that loves little guys like us.
We love our foster carer’s dogs, they are so gentle and we have lots and lots of fun. We are being fostered by an awesome foster mum who is teaching us where to toilet (on our pads) and that we shouldn’t bite, although we are getting teeth and keep trying to put everything into our mouths! Our foster mum has told us that we are very, very lucky little dogs as there are so many more dogs and puppies in horrible places like we were and they will never know what it is like to get the best start in life!
Being Chihuahua X’s we do love to play, however we are actually very gentle and love being cuddled up on you. We would be great in an apartment due to our size and energy, however would be just as happy living in a house. Due to our small size we would not be suitable for young children or boisterous older children. As we are all different, our Sydney foster carer will help match people who may want to adopt.
The adoption fee is $600 and this includes an awesome Puppy Pack containing a crate for the car, a Kong for their dinner, a food pyramid to put breakfast in, a CD of puppy training info, some natural training treats, a lambs ear, 1 week of food, a towel that smells like our family and 2 washable toilet pads so we know where to go. The pack is worth over $150 and it helps ensure the puppies get the best start to life, and a smooth transition into their new home. They are tools needed to help prevent chewing problems, toileting problems and separation problems. You will also get a free consultation on adoption with a professional trainer who can answer any questions you may have.
Adoption details
Please send an email to Lisa at info@politepaws.com.au and she will send you through an application form to complete. The adoption fee is $600 due to the care and special training they have received and is not up for negotiation. If successful a time can be arranged to meet the puppy. Please do not call the shelters as all adoption enquiries need to come via email through the foster carer.
There will be NO interstate adoptions, and we will not re-home 2 puppies due to the serious behavioural problems this can cause. If you are considering adopting 2 puppies please read the below.
