About Jackie Chan (On Trial 13/12/12)
Jackie Chan is a playful, friendly, 14 week old Jack Russell x Maltese puppy. He adores everyone: adults, children, other dogs and even cats! He loves cuddles and to just be near you. He is an active young boy but not a barker. Loves to play fetch. He is a delightful, playful companion and will light up your home with his puppy enthusiasm for life.
We recommend puppy training classes for all dogs. Jackie will be easy to train as he is intelligent and willing to please you. He will sit when asked and is housetrained. He has a lovely, long coat, which can be kept long or clipped a bit shorter in summer. He enjoys the bath, which will need to be done about every 3 weeks to keep it in nice condition.
Jackie will need a secure yard as he is only little and could fit through small gaps. He will need a walk every day. He is an indoor dog and will need to sleep inside, where he can be with you and be included in your life. Jackie is dreaming of a happy life with a family who will enjoy training, walking, and playing with him. In return he will bring them lots of love, laughs and fun.
JC is in foster care in Salamander Bay, in Port Stephens, NSW (north of Newcastle). For more info or to arrange to meet him, please call foster carer Michelle on 0468 939 132 or email furryfullhouse2@gmail.com
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Jackie Chan's $500 adoption fee covers his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration.
Medical notes
Healthy, well raised, little munchin
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
