About Pippa (On Trial 4/12/12)
Pippa is a 14 month old Miniature Poodle x Maltese ("Moodle"). They don't come much prettier than this little girl. Pippa had a bad start to life but is making up for it now by being enthusiastic about everything. She hadn't received any training before coming into rescue and is only now just learning that she has a name! Pippa is a sweet little girl who is very curious about all the new things around her and very active and keen to explore.
She is fine with young children and rarely jumps up on anyone. I would say she's better suited to being an only dog or with another small dog as she gets a little defensive around big dogs.
Pippa has a gorgeous, white, non-shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and healthy. You should be prepared for this if you want a poodle or moodle.
Pippa is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when people are home and to sleep inside. She is housetrained. She is so affectionate and just wants to love and be loved. She will be a very loyal and adoring companion.
Pippa needs a home with someone who is at home most the time and who has the time to train her. She needs someone who is experienced with dogs or is willing to take her to training classes.
For more information or to meet Pippa please phone foster carer Kathryn 0488-428-900. Pippa is in foster care in Morpeth, NSW (between Newcastle and Maitland).
Pippa's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Pippa.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
