About Ben (On Trial 26/11/12)
Ben is a 1 yo Fox Terrier mix. He is very gentle and friendly to humans of all ages and to all other dogs. He rarely barks. He is very graceful and walks and moves like a deer. He is respectful and very playful to other dogs including my own small dog that he is living with. Ben loves all cuddles all day long and loves to sit with you.
Ben is only young but has some basic training such as sit and returning when called. He does pull on the lead when walking sometimes so needs some more help with that. He would do great at dog training classes. Ben can be quick to dash out an open door so we need to be careful with house and car doors.
He is a very pretty young dog and is in terrific health. He can spend some time outside but prefers to be inside and part of the family and will need to sleep indoors at night. He's a real little charmer that will light up any loving home.
For more information or to meet Ben please phone foster carer Michaela on 0466-995-925. Ben is in foster care in Charlestown, NSW (Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Ben's $400 adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Ben.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
