About Honey (On Trial 2/12/12)
Honey is a darling 2 year old, Chihuahua x. She loves it when you throw a ball and she brings it back and places it in your hands. She is not overly excitable or energetic. She can be a bit shy at first but warms up very quickly. She would love to go on a walk with you.
Honey is an inside dog and needs to be inside when people are home and to sleep in side. She is of course housetrained.
Honey gets along nicely with my other dogs (all small dogs, male and female). She doesn't fret when you go out so long as she has the company of another dog. I'm not sure how she'd go if left alone without another dog for company. She would be best suited to a home with another small playful dog to play with.
Honey is gentle and fun loving and would make a fantastic family pet, as she loves children and getting patted.
For more information or to meet Honey please call her foster carer Debbie on 02 4945 8756. She is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (south of Newcastle).
Honey's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Your support allows us to continue saving other homeless dogs like Honey.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
