About Halo (On Trial 8/1/13)
Hi, I'm Halo, a 11 month old, male, Mastiff x Ridgeback. I am 40 kgs of love and affection. I love being brushed and touched and will take all the cuddles you can give me. I love to play with my foster sister. Luckily she is a Bull Arab x so she is almost as big as me because we like to play rough. If you have a big dog that needs a playmate then I AM YOUR BOY!
I really, really, REALLY LOVE my food and will eat anything my foster mum gives me. You will be able to teach me anything if you reward me with goodies.
I am a good boy, but I don’t like being left alone for too long even though I do have my foster sister to play with. I get very excited when my foster family comes home. I can get a bit too excited and I jump up, but I am only young and if you are kind to me and take the time to teach me I will learn. I always come when I am called. I sit most of time, and am working out what stay means, and to wait to be invited in. My foster mum is very happy that she can touch me all over while I am eating. A couple of times I tried to steal my foster sister's food and my foster mum has taken it right out of my mouth, I didn’t complain but I was disappointed.
I will sleep wherever I get tired: in the garden or the middle of the yard or on my foster mums outdoor table (she doesn’t like that though). Sometimes I even sleep on my dog bed. If I am inside my favourite place to sleep is in your bed with my head on your pillows.
I like going on walks. I do pull a little bit but I am learning that this is not such a good thing to do. I am just so interested in everything. I weigh around 40kg and may grow a bit more so I'm hoping you like big dogs. I am very affectionate and I get very lonely so I need you to be with me most of time and not go off to work all day. I would also love to have a playmate around my size. Please come and meet me so I can show you what a great boy I am.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
