About Kya (On Hold)
Kya is a gorgeous 7 week old female Staffy x Husky mix that is available for adoption from 23th November.
Kya currently lives with her brother Judge (also available for adoption) and her 2 year foster brother and sister.
Kya doesn’t look very Staffy, and will grow to be a medium sized dog. She is fine with cats based on the limited contact she has had and due to her age Kya will most likely adjust very quickly to any animals.
Kya is such a sweetie, she is very independant and will explore her surroundings at any chance she is given. Kya loves playing rough with her foster brother and sister (who are both medium sized dogs) before cuddling up with her brother or foster siblings or foster mummy, well with anyone and anywhere really for a power nap.
Kya would best suit a home with another dog to keep her company. Kya will need to attend puppy preschool to learn obedience and social skills to ensure she reaches her full potential.
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Our $450.00 adoption fee covers the dog's de-sexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, micro-chipping, and lifetime registration. Your support allows us to continue saving homeless dogs.
For more information about Kya or to meet her please call Alyssa on 04 2203 5850.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
