About Max (On Trial 22/11/12)
Max is a 2 year old Australian Terrier. Aka Teddy, as he likes to get as close as he can to you, loves receiving cuddles and sitting on your lap.
He is a very happy boy. He's a joy to come home to because he is always very excited to greet you. He will love having a daily walk. He walks well on a lead, can sit and likes playing with the ball in the back yard. He will even bring it back!
Max gets along well with cats and dogs, of all sizes. He is suitable with children of all ages. Although he does initially jump up when first greeting humans of all sizes but, will settle down after a short while.
The Australian Terrier sheds little to no hair, however Max will need a brush from time to time and every so often a trim around the face to keep the hair out of his eyes.
Max comes inside on a daily basis & appears to be house trained.
Max would like a home where he can come inside for cuddles by the tv and to be included as part of the family.
For more information or to meet Max please phone foster carer Nay on 0407 324 214 or email nayz1984@hotmail.com . Max is in foster care in Cessnock, NSW (west of Newcastle).
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Our $400 adoption fee covers the dog's de-sexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, micro-chipping, and lifetime registration. Your support allows us to continue saving homeless dogs.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
