About Roxy Spots
This gorgeous girl loves nothing more than soft pats and gentle affection! She settled straight into her foster-carer’s home like she’d been there forever. Only a passing interest in cats, she’ll happily sit there while they rub themselves all over her! She’ll even nuzzle and ‘pat’ them with her nose for ages.
Everywhere Roxy goes, she impresses all with her striking looks and gentleness.
She will put her head against you for hours while you stroke her silky-softness ? A well-mannered and gentle dog, she plays beautifully with others at the park as well as when she’s at her favourite place, the beach!
Although she’ll need time to settle in and get to know you and your voice, she’ll always keep an eye on you and keep returning, especially when called. She wants to be a good girl! She’s very easily trainable too, and only needs to be told once or twice then picks it up immediately. She’s even been seeing having a nice time with some kids on the beach!
Roxy is a well-adjusted girl who will thrive with a loving and gentle owner/family who will clearly show her what’s wanted. She loves being around people and stays out of the way. She walks nicely in her ‘halti’ but will need some lead-and-collar training – but is a fast leaner and she’s already improved out of sight!
Roxy will make a real contribution to anyone’s life and would love her own family who take her on lots of outings and give her lots of love!

Roxy has been desexed, vaccinated and micro chipped. Roxy is uptodate with flea and worm control.
Adoption details
Once the animal is advertised candidates for adoption are requested to fill in a form.
The adoption questionnaire form asks where the animal will sleep, details of people and other animals in the home, training and exercise plans etc. We use this form as part of our screening process.
If we like what we read and the animal’s individual needs are met we then conduct an informal phone interview.
Then the potential adopter meets the animal at the carers home or the carer may choose to take the animal to the adopter’s home to do a house and yard inspection.
If the adopter meets the animal at the carer’s home a house/yard inspection is done after the meet.
When the yard inspection is done we are able to further evaluate the suitability of the candidate to adopt.
If we are satisfied that the animals needs will be met by the adopter and that they are a good match for one another then a trial period may begin.
We have legally binding pre-adoption forms which allow us to remove the animal from the home if all other solutions to issues have failed.
We have a good support base which adopters can utilise if needed, such as a professional trainer, a behaviourist, vets and a groomer.
Homeless Hounds offers support to our adopters for the life of the animal. It is policy that each adopter is aware that if the ever need help or to rehome the animal then HH wants to facilitate that.
Our procedures are based on advice from "model" and well established rescue groups and trial and error.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
