About Leo *On Trial in His New Home*
*LEO IS CURRENTLY TRIALLING HIS NEW HOME* We’ve named this little bundle of joy “Leo” as he reminds us of a miniature lion! He’s looking for a caring new home after ending up in our local pound as he was picked up wandering the streets of Robinvale and surprisingly no one came to collect him – will it be with you???
Gorgeous Leo is happy to be out of the pound now and is settling in well into foster care. His carer adores him and says he's such a loving little cutie pie who's always smiling. He is terrific with other dogs; big or small, young or old, male or female Leo loves them all! He does bark at cats and chases them from his yard though we tested him with dog-friendly inside cats and he was fine. \ He’s good with children though perhaps not toddlers as he can be quite young and bouncy still. Leo is happy to entertain himself with his toys though his favourite thing in the whole-wide-world would have to be cuddles and he enjoys being picked up for them or just sitting quietly beside you or on your lap – lucky this lovely little fella only weighs 4.4kgs so he’s a perfect lap size! \ While in care we’ll brush up on Leo’s “sit” and “down” as well as spending some time with him on a lead as we don’t think he’s had much practice at this.
Being a Pomeranian x Leo doesn’t shed much hair though he will require regular brushing (which he loves!) and a clip when needed to keep him looking handsome. As Leo is house-trained and sleeps inside at night he would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie friend for company or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he settles into his new home. Secure fencing, daily walks or runs around the backyard, chicken necks to chew on and toys to play with will make loveable Leo very happy indeed!
