About Bonnie (On trial 14/12/12)
Bonnie is a rare, purebred, black German Shepherd with pedigree papers from superior bloodlines. She is also 10 months old and a pure delight. Her greatest joy is to be played with by anyone in the household. Running around and chasing a ball or stick is her favourite pastime, although getting big scratches and cuddles is loved as well.
We had the great pleasure of watching Bonnie play with another foster dog we had, a little terrier. The two dogs would take turns in chasing each other and spent half the day in a friendly tussle. All visitors to the house have been made to feel welcomed; she doesn’t even bark when someone is knocking at the door.
At night Bonnies sleeps outside and, as a rule, is quiet; we have placed a few toys in the yard for her and this seems to keep her occupied. We have had the pleasure of Bonnie coming inside occasionally throughout the day and this is usually lots of fun; we get to have a big wrestle with her on the floor. The home Bonnie needs is one with a big yard and dedicated and confident owners; not only does she need regular walks but a yard and family to help keep her stimulated.
At the moment Bonnie is getting training on the lead and is progressing rapidly. Being such an intelligent, large and active dog, Bonnie will require on-going training which will make her settle into a disciplined adult shepherd. Being a pup she tends to mouth when she is playing, training will assist her in knowing what is expected her. My family going to find it hard letting her go; however, we know we can’t keep her due to our yard size. She is absolutely gorgeous.
For more information or to meet Bonnie please call her foster carer Karen on 02 4947 7703 or 0432 672 356

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
