About Emma (adopted January 2013)
Emma is a 4 month old Mastiff X. She gets along great with other dogs and with people. She is very affectionate and loves giving cuddles and kisses. She is very playful and loves rope toys. She needs an active family that can walk her daily.
Emma already has basic obedience training and is very easy to teach because she will do anything for a treat. She could lean heaps more especially if you take her to dog training classes. She is housetrained and sleeps inside overnight. She will wake you with kisses when she wants to go outside. She has a good appetite and is not a fussy eater. She walks well on a harness and lead, either by herself or with another dog.
Emma is a sweet young dog just full of potential. She will need a home where she will get exercise, training and affection and be a part of the family. She will reward them with a lifetime of devotion, love and laughs.
For more information or to meet Emma please phone foster carer Lee on 02 4950 0889 or 0413 298 737 or email blur_71@hotmail.com. Emma is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW (near Jesmond) and is available for adoption interstate.
Emma's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation.
*** A note about her photos: There is nothing wrong with Emma's eyes. It is just that one inner lid is black and one is pink.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
