About Molly (On Trial 1/11/12)
Hi, I'm Molly a 5 yr old Irish Wolfhound x. I absolutely love to snuggle and cuddle and play gently with anyone who is willing. It is my delight to give big cuddles and just sit with or near you for ages…or with my head resting on a lap. I try to be a lap dog…even though I’m way too big…but such is my desire to be your canine BFF.
I’ll eat whatever my foster mum gives me. I do love doggy treats and my foster mum has tried me on Dent-a-sticks for my teeth and I like them a lot.
I am an Irish Wolfhound mix which means that I have a coat which sheds. So I will need a bath every 2 – 3 weeks and regular brushing while outside will reduce the amount of shedding I do inside. I know how to ‘Stay’, ‘Come’, ‘Sit’ and lay ‘Down’ on command.
I was surrendered to a pound when the dog that my owners got me to be a companion to died.
I am a quiet girl who hardly ever barks. I am a little timid at first with new people and new dogs but once I get used to them, I love to interact. I do prefer to be close to my human as much as possible. I am a happy girl and I love nothing better than to cuddle with you and for us to be the best of forever friends. Though I am a big girl, I would prefer to be an inside dog with a good sized yard for me to explore.
I am brilliant with little dogs once I get to know them. I would be fine being an only dog or where there is another friendly dog that I can be best buddies with.
For more info or to meet me, please ring Terrie on 0451 469 494. We are in Newcastle, NSW.
Dog Rescue Newcastle www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. Our $400.00 adoption fee covers the dog's desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. Your support allows us to continue saving homeless dogs.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile. They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID to prove you live there.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
